At Facetoo Music, we are committed to delivering music that meets professional, commercial, and industry-recognized standards. These guidelines apply to all artists, producers, songwriters, engineers, and collaborators releasing music through the label.

1. Audio Quality & Production

All recordings submitted to Facetoo Music must meet professional production standards.

Recording

• Recordings must be clean and free from clipping, distortion, excessive background noise, clicks, pops, or unwanted artifacts.

• Vocals should be recorded in an acoustically suitable environment whenever possible.

• Proper microphone technique and recording levels should be maintained throughout the session.

Mixing & Mastering

• Every release must be professionally mixed and mastered to ensure clarity, balance, stereo imaging, and commercial loudness consistency.

• Proper gain staging must be maintained throughout the production process.

• Excessive limiting, clipping, distortion, or over-compression is not permitted unless intentionally used as a creative effect.

• Stereo mixes should maintain mono compatibility where appropriate.

File Requirements

• Final masters must be submitted in WAV format.

• Minimum specification:

  • 24-bit

  • 44.1 kHz or higher

• MP3, AAC, or other compressed formats are not accepted as final masters.

• Files must be exported without normalization unless specifically requested.

2. Songwriting & Composition

• All music must be original or properly licensed.

• Unauthorized samples, melodies, lyrics, or copyrighted material are strictly prohibited.

• Song structures should be complete, engaging, and commercially presentable.

• Lyrics should be well-written, coherent, and appropriate for the intended audience.

• Musical arrangements should demonstrate creativity while maintaining professional quality.

3. Performance & Delivery

Artists are expected to deliver performances that accurately represent their artistic abilities.

Requirements include:

• Strong vocal or instrumental performances.

• Accurate timing and rhythm.

• Proper pitch and musical expression.

• Consistent energy throughout the performance.

Pitch correction (Auto-Tune) and other vocal processing tools may be used where appropriate but should enhance the performance rather than compensate for poor recording quality.

Instrumentals and beats must be professionally produced, arranged, and mixed.

4. Artwork & Visual Assets

Every release must include professional artwork that complies with digital distribution requirements.

Cover Artwork

• Minimum resolution: 3000 × 3000 pixels

• JPG or PNG format

• High-quality image without pixelation or compression artifacts

• No copyrighted images, logos, or trademarks without written permission

• No misleading or offensive content that violates distributor guidelines

Where required by the label, official Facetoo Music branding or logo must be included in accordance with the label's branding guidelines.

5. Metadata Requirements

Accurate metadata is essential for distribution and royalty collection.

Each release must include:

• Song title

• Artist name

• Featured artist information (if applicable)

• Producer credits

• Songwriter credits

• Composer information

• Explicit content designation (if applicable)

• Lyrics (when requested)

• Genre and subgenre

• ISRC (if provided by the artist)

• UPC (assigned by the label where applicable)

Artists are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is accurate.

6. Copyright & Rights Clearance

Before submission, all necessary rights must be secured.

Artists confirm that:

• They own or control all rights necessary for the release.

• Any samples, loops, or third-party recordings are properly licensed.

• Featured artists have granted written permission.

• Producers, writers, and collaborators have agreed to their respective contributions.

• The submission does not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, publicity, or other intellectual property rights.

Failure to obtain proper permissions may result in rejection, removal, or legal action.

7. Distribution Standards

To ensure successful delivery to digital music services, all submissions must comply with the content policies of streaming platforms and distribution partners.

Facetoo Music reserves the right to reject or delay any release that:

• Violates distributor or DSP policies.

• Contains misleading metadata.

• Includes unauthorized artist names or branding.

• Uses copyrighted material without authorization.

• Fails to meet the label's quality standards.

Meeting these standards does not guarantee acceptance by every digital service provider.

8. Review & Approval Process

Every submission undergoes an internal quality review before distribution.

During the review process, Facetoo Music may evaluate:

• Audio quality

• Musical performance

• Production standards

• Metadata accuracy

• Artwork compliance

• Copyright documentation

• Distribution eligibility

If a submission does not meet the required standards, feedback may be provided and revisions may be requested before approval.

Facetoo Music reserves the right to reject any submission that does not satisfy the label's artistic, technical, legal, or commercial requirements.

9. General Expectations

Artists and collaborators working with Facetoo Music are expected to:

• Maintain professional communication.

• Submit materials before scheduled deadlines.

• Respond promptly to revision requests.

• Deliver original, high-quality creative work.

• Respect all contractual obligations and intellectual property rights.

These Quality Standards are intended to maintain the professional reputation of Facetoo Music and ensure that every release distributed by the label reflects the highest level of artistic and technical excellence.
